Diana Waldron
Diana is a life member and registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. She is renowned both nationally and internationally as the founder and artistic director of the Perth City Ballet, the founder and director of Diana Waldron Ballet Academy. Close to everyone's heart as the creator with her late husband Ken, an architect of the magnificent Quarry Amphitheatre in Floreat Park.
Both Ken and Diana were scholarship winners to Perth Modern School. Diana received her training from two amazing but unique teachers, Ida Beeby and Linley Wilson.
Diana's achievements include, 4 principal dancers, 7 professional contracts, 5 European and 1 Asian tour with the Perth City Ballet, 2 scholarship entries to the Royal Ballet School, 8 entries to the Australian Ballet School, scholarship entries to the Heinl Bosl School, Munich and the Palucca School in Dresden. Dancers contracted to the Australian Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre, Cullberg Ballet (Sweden), Kasselstare Ballet Germany, Singapore Ballet, Independant Ballet Wales, The Los Angeles Ballet, Hagen State Ballet Germany and the Western Australian Ballet.
Larissa D'Annunzio
Larissa D’Annunzio has excitingly joined Diana Waldron Ballet Academy Term 1 2018. Larissa age 27 commenced her training at 4yrs of age with Shirley Farrell Academy of Dance. At 24 she moved to London where she attended master classes and workshops at Pineapple Dance Studios. She has also toured America and trained at Broadway Dance Centre. She is also a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher, specialising in alignment. It has been a delight to see her build rapport with the children within the fist few weeks of Term.
